tea with caffiene is no good,..green tea has healing and great health benefits

Here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful:

cancer
rheumatoid arthritis
high cholesterol levels
cariovascular disease
infection
impaired immune function

What makes green tea so special?

The secret of green tea lies in the fact it is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, it kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. It has also been effective in lowering LDL cholesterol levels, and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots. The latter takes on added importance when you consider that thrombosis (the formation of abnormal blood clots) is the leading cause of heart attacks and stroke.

Tea has lots of benefits for the body... for the heart, antioxidants, it hydrates you, smells good, tastes good, relaxes... There was a recent study I read somewhere that said that putting milk in tea (like the English often do, and me too) actually annuls the benefits of tea. Apparently the enzymes in the milk bind to the good things in tea and they then don't get absorbed into the body. (Nota: the study wasn't done on green teas though, so it is not sure yet what milk's effects are on green teas). It's best to avoid sugar (or at least too much of it), since too much sugar isn't good for you either. Asians are known for drinking lots of tea and also have less problems with heart disease and live longer, in general.

to be honest, drinking lots of tea keeps you going to the potty frequently, which can only be good for you so that the toxins aren't just sitting in your bladder getting reabsorbed when you wait and wait (like i have a tendency to do.) My mom agrees, and she drinks lots of tea and is very very healthy. Do some web searches to find out more benfits, especially in medical journals.

Green tea is a wonderful antioxidant...keeps your heart healthy. Tea also acts as natural diuretic and keeps the toxins flushed out of your body. Regular tea still has caffeine and not as many benefits but still acts as a diuretic. Great stuff to drink of you retain water or bloat.
