Here are some...Shaving Tips for Men

To soften your beard and open your pores, shave either in the shower or just after getting out, before the steam escapes from the bathroom. Use a good shaving cream that contains skin-soothing ingredients. Don't dry shave, which increases skin irritation.

Don't use regular soap to lather for shaving - it dries out your skin. Keep your face as wet as possible by using a badger hair brush and working the shaving cream thoroughly into your face. Shave with the grain (down) of your facial hair rather than against the grain (up) to avoid irritation and ingrown hairs. Don't repeat strokes.

If you get ingrown hairs or razor bumps after shaving, you may discover that double edge safety razors are a better choice than multi-blade razors.

Follow these smooth moves for sleek skin:

. Whenever possible, shave in the shower. The steam opens pores, making hair removal easier.

. Avoid using scented shaving products, and change disposable razors often.

. After shaving, use a light moisturizer or use a razor with a built-in moisturizing strip

Use a new razor, soak the place you are shaving in hot water for 5 minutes before you shave and use shaving cream. Don't go over the same place more than 2 times.

This used to happen to me, its important to shave very clean skin, don't just hop in the shower and start shaving. Exfoiliate with a cleanser or scrub and then use a shaving cream with aloe or made for sensitive skin. AND DON'T SKIMP on the amount of shaving cream!!! I buy cheap mens shaving cream with aloe, the more you use the more you protect your skin.

You can also try putting some baby oil on your legs after you exfoiliate. I never tried it but alot of people say its good on yahoo! answers

Male or female, both can try chemical removal.

If allergic to chemical also the try different appliance to shave, wet or dry, electric or regular, different brands....

Laser may be the solution. Expensive but almost permanent, with few strokes of care full light shaver now and then, to take off new growth.

Always use fresh razor, factory sterilised.

They make special shaving creams for sensitive skin and even some that claim to leave no bumps or burns. Look in the hair removal section of your local drug store or Wal-Mart.

i shave with nothing but soap..i shave down there and my under arms and my legs..and i dont get irriated..i shave like twice a week..that prevents the bumps and irriration..if you shave like four times or five times a week definetly you are going to be irriated and cause bumps,,limit the amount of time and apply lotion after..the lotion should be mild not to fragrancy..

i bought a product from one of those sex toy parties once. it was called coochy cream. lol. It was pricey. turns out it was nothing but conditioner, the same stuff you use for your hair. It even said you could use it for that. ive have been using hair conditioner ever since. only use a little though, just enough to coat the area or the hair won't come off. Hope this helps.

I use a very warm and moist cloth first on my skin. Then I moisturize with aloe after. Also, exfoliate once a week--it gets rid of the dead cells. It helps.
