Losing it can be a challenge but it is definitely possible...

here are steps to reduce or remove a double chin...

[edit] Reduce fat

The first step to reducing a double chin is to ensure your diet is high in fibre and low in fat and calories, and contains fresh fruit and vegetables.

[edit] Skin toner

Using a skin toner every day helps the skin remain firm.

[edit] Exercise

Exercising the platysma muscle, whose function is to pull down the corners of the mouth and pull down the jawbone will help to reduce a double chin. Open your mouth wide, and then pull up your bottom lip over your bottom teeth. Move your jaw up and down as if you're trying to scoop something up with it - imagine the movement of the shovel on a digger scooping up earth or debris on a building site. Perform ten repetitions of this exercise each time, 2 or 3 times a day.[1]

[edit] Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is a last resort. For about $2-4,500 a surgeon will make a small horizontal cut under the chin, then suck out the fat that has collected beneath the skin. Finally, they will make a vertical incision between the layers of the neck and jaw muscle, and sew the edges together, tightening the muscle layer.

It is a relatively painless procedure, and requires two small bandages to hide. Bruising is minimal, and usually disappears within about ten days.[2]

Not necessarily. Double chins are usually hereditary deposits of "baby fat," which will probably disappear as you mature and your facial features become more angular. Unfortunately, no amount of exercising can reduce a double chin, but if you're overweight, follow a healthy diet and don't overdose on junk food and rich desserts (this causes puffiness). When you lose weight, your face should thin out naturally.
