Use more fresh veggies, olive oil for sauteeing. Lean cuts of meat. Cut down on as many processed foods as you can. If you make it yourself and control the salt and fat it's healthier and usually cheaper. Use more garlic and fresh herbs.

Easy: Not Frying it! no dousing it in gravy or butter....
Also trying to eat it raw, with a vinaigrette or sauce
Baking, Grilling, Steaming it
