Ok here is my situation. I either walk at 4mph for 30 minutes or do a 30 minute denise Austin at least 5-6 days a week. I am not losing any weight. What am I doing wrong? I only need to lose 10 lbs!

Two things we don't know from your question:

1. How many calories are you taking in? You can burn 3000 a day, but if you take in 4000, guess what?

2. How long have you been doing it? Figure that your walk burns perhaps 200 calories, that is 17.5 walks, or more than 3 weeks to lose one pound, assuming you aren't eating more.

Your body can go into conservation mode also, so its possible that it can go for a while before it gives up and starts consuming fat. If you're only eating a couple of times a day, or eating most of your calories before bed, this could well be the cause.

Make sure that you don't do your workouts when you're calorie depleted. 90 minutes after a meal is ideal. You want your system to think it can burn calories with abandon.

Could be that your body is used to the walking for 30 minutes a day thing. You have to force your body to do more than its used to doing. Try doing some light weights, maybe run instead of walk. Walk for an hour instead of a half hour. You need to mix up your work out routine and increase the intensity.
