Okay, please explain this to me.

Let's say that all of the American/British/UN etc forces left the Middle East. I keep hearing that it's better to get them over there than to allow them to come after us here in the U.S. How will fighting them over in Iraq keep them from coming over to the U.S? It's not like every terrorist will somehow get on a plane and come over here.

So, for those of you who support this war, explain to me, how killing and imprisoning insurgents over in Iraq somehow prevents terrorism in the U.S?

To me, this makes no sense. The terrorists would somehow have to get over here. It also does not take into account anyone here in the U.S. that might be a terrorist. Do you honestly believe that if we pull out of Iraq, that the terrorists would somehow all get on a plane and come over here???

Aiminhigh and TW, thank you for those citations, but despite the emotional music and the fear that those videos inspire, it doesn't explain how those terrorists will come over here. Those videos do nothing more than to inspire us to fear the terrorists. We have killed many more children and adults in those countries who are unfortunate casualties.

TW's explanation only shows an isolated case, but we use this as a basis to keep on going after people in that country. By keeping them occupied over there does not stop them from developing terrorism over here. It only justifies their hatred for our people.

The Opolis, Just so you know, I'm proud of you for having the courage to say what you said, and I'm also praying for you and your servicemen to be able to come home safely as well!! We won't forget that servicemen are doing their duty and while we don't support the war, we are still proud of you for being willing to make the sacrifice you make.

Me and my soldiers have talked about this alot. Yes there are a few terrorists in the United States, but we won't catch most of them until after they have done something. And yes there are a few in Iraq, but they are not as bad as the ones in the US. I think alot of the so called "terrorists" in Iraq arent what everyone is calling them. Yes there are alot of full blown Al Qaida members there, but I think alot of them just want us to leave their country. Imagine if some country invaded the US to "free" us from President Bush's power, and then stayed here for the next 4 years. Of course we would want them out, whether we liked the President's way of doing things or not. And I'm sure we would do whatever it took to get them out, including shooting and bombing. No we wouldnt be fighting each other like the Sunnis and Shias do. They've been fighting each other for years and years and nothing we do is going to stop it. But as long as we fought the invading force, the longer they would stay and fight back. They are normal teachers, students, farmers, computer programmers, barbers, and mechanics that work during the day and turn insurgent at night. Maybe its fun to them, its exhiliarating, its a rush to shoot at an Army convoy then run away. i would do the same thing to another army that has occupied my country, bombing and shooting up our cities, running over our cars, causing traffic problems with the convoys. I think we would do the same stuff to get someone out of our country. So I think we should just leave!! We arent going to stop the religious fighting, ever. And we need to be more worried about keeping the real terrorists out of the US, not about keeping the terrorists out of Iraq. Its never going to happen. they speak the language, they blend in, they have family there. We should just leave!!!!

I don't support the war. the way i see it is everyday dozens of iraqi people die, so some of them got to terrorists, right? if we wipe out their population, terrorists will die too? but what about the ones that are already in the states? what execuse do we have then?

I thought we were after bin laden for 9/11 in the first place, but I don't think he's from iraq. now bin laden is still free, but we are making a mess and more enemies in iraq. it's really mess up.

And why would the Brits be pulling out in this war against "terrorists?!"

It's basically just to keep the sheeple in "fear mode" so they continue supporting the invasion/occupation/oil grab.

They got on a plane and flew to New York.

I think the price of a plane ticket is extremely minimal compared to their zeal for hurting nations such as the U.S. and Britain and others they deem as "infidels".

The theory is that the majority of our enemies will migrate to Iraq (for now) to fight our troops, and that way we can "get them all at once." It has had some success, but not what we would have liked.

The war makes no sense...and this is Bush's plan.....to provoke terrorism....make it escalate out of control....and then try and bring a New World Order. Has to be the stupidist idea I've ever heard.

Some think it's a magic trick Bush and his Neocon thugs proposed.

There is no connection whatsoever.. in fact Bush "created" the connection with the help of Israel.

As a member of the Air Force, I can tell you that I would much rather be on the offensive than the defensive.

It doesn't!

This is just Bull$hit and propaganda that Bush and his cronies use to try to convince the folks here at home that we should continue our war efforts so that they can keep on reaping in their war profits!

Look at how many Homicides occur in the United States daily as a result of our own "criminal terrorists"!
