I like ketel one vodka shaken in a shaker with ice and water and then served over rocks with a few olives.

In busy and loud nightclubs, its hard to order this. Is there an easy way to convey what it is that I want?

If you say martini, they'll throw vermouth in it. While it is a martini, its a bone-dry martini. That's more to say though. Here's the best:

Kettle on the rocks, splash of water and olives.

With water is a little different, but if its what you like, then thats all that matters. If you're willing to allow the ice to melt then you can leave out the "splash of water", that'll save some time, but if not, then the above phrase is the most conceise way to say it.

Yes, I'd like a Ketel One Martini, shaken , on the rocks with a spash of water, with Olives.
You may not need to ask for the water, as when they shake a martini in a shaker with ice. if it's shaken well enough, the ice will "shear" into little pieces and when it melts it will add water to the drink.
Or if you'd like a bit more water (as it's not really a martini ifyou add water) you can order
Ketel One, on the rocks with a splash, add olives please. This wont get your drink shaken, but might get you more of what you really want.
Im a bartender, and it's nice to have a guest who not only knows what they want, but how to convey it in the best possible way, thanks for asking.
another thing, is to frequent this place when they are not as busy, get a seat at the bar, make friends with the bartender and then when it's busy, you can come in and say "my usual" and if you are a memorable customer ( and not memorable for being a pain and picky customer either ) then you will get the drink the way you like it.

I'd understand "Ketel One, shaken, on the rocks with olives." The ice will melt and provide you the water.

Well if you are a regular then the bartender will know what you drink. If you are NOT a regualr then make sure to tip him/her good. This way they will REMEMBER what you're drinking and everytime you go up for another drink they will know and there won't be any need to yell.

Shove the bartender aside, walk behind the bar and make your own. That's what I always do.
