I got in a conversation with a girl that I am good friends with. We have discussed being more and she knows I like her a whole lot. Anyway, we were talking about fashion, and she said girls in movies get the guy and the perfect life. She said she was not like these girls, but she said girls want to be like them. She had said in an email that she needed to go on a diet. I said that I do not think she needs to go on a diet. Why was she even thinking that? Why did she tell me this? There seemed to be some hidden meaning behind her words.

Don't read too much into it, sounds like she's just fishing for compliments. She knows you like her and will tell her she is just perfect the way she is.

I think you're reading into that a bit too much. Every woman wants to loose weight. Every woman wants the perfect man, perfect house, perfect friends, perfect job, perfect kids blah blah blah. But, as we all know, we aren't like that, it's not real and I don't think it mean anything! She was probably just fishing for compliments!

All girls think they need to go on a diet whether they need to or not. We just want to hear that we are perfect the way that we are.
She is hinting for a compliment.

She feels ugly and unhappy she wants to be slim like the actresses and have the life of the girls in the movies who always get the perfect man he perfect family and perfect life and thas wha she wants she is unhappy with her self in has a low self esteem

She might have just been having a hard time that day and been thkning particularly about her life in general. Its good that she knows you're there and tht she can talk to you. Id try not to worry about it and see if she mentions it again. just be there to support her when she needs you and compliment her like you do, I think you're doing great!xxx

she wants to hear that she's beautiful... most of the time. maybe she was just thinking on paper... who knows why she said it. just tell her that you think she's beautiful and that she doesnt need to lose weight.
