I have a daughter and she wants to hang at the mall with a couple of friends. At what age is it appropriate to allow her to do this?

To me that really depends on your daughter and her friends. My older daughter is very mature and responsible - I would've let her do something like this at around 13-14. However, my younger daughter is more outgoing, easily let, alittle immature, and I don't trust a lot of her friends so I wouldn't be as quick to let her do this, especially since Malls as places where pedophiles, drugs, etc. are rampant. You really need to know your daughter and her friends and then trust your heart. Good luck and God Bless.

I have to agree with 15 or 16. I know that must seem old, but believe me IT'S NOT..
There's too much that can go wrong in the"mall setting".
If you feel like that is too long to keep her waiting, I would say let her go with her friends for a hour or two on a Saturday, and you stay somewhere close by.
The world we live in is CRAZY, and people are CRAZY.
We owe it to our kids to do all we can to protect them always.

Id say about 13 but kids are maturing at younger ages so 10 or 11 depends or her maturity level but she should be fine as long as you take her there and pick her up or if she gets there by other means as long as she calls you in check in everything is good.

I would say 15 or 16 is ok, by herself. If she is younger than that, go with her and just meet up at a predetermined spot, after an hour or two. You can shop in the mean time.

My parents let me go when I was 12 or 13. I suppose it all depends on the maturity level of your daughter, if you feel you can trust her and trust her to know how to take care of herself in certain situations.

if ur daughter is between 13 and 15, then let her hav fun with her friends. just all u hav to do is put a limit to this fun. make sure u know what mall she's going to, and if she has one, make sure she always has her cell phone with her and on. make sure you know what friends she is going with. and of course, make sure she is home before dark. good luck and remember, kids should always have fun, buh this fun should always hav a limit. it also depends on ur trust with her, and her maturity level.
