To be honest, I would be angry in that moment. But to react to such a remark as this, is not smart. Get away from this person sounds like they are toxic and the remarks will just continue. Next time, when and if you have such a conflict try this To avoid conflict in my life I use this method, 1 Stop, 2 Breath ,and ask yourself a question, like what is the outcome I want here?, 3 Choose We can choose to continue the conflict or be calm and end the conflict. You have got to know you are not a waste of time! The person who said this to you is the one who is a waste of time. Smile and walk away, this will get to that person more than you can image. This kind of remark hurts but do not let them know leave them wondering why you didn't care what they said!

It sounds like you shouldn't be worrying about somebody with that type of character. Don't waste your time on somebody petty enough to stoop that low. Don't never let somebodies else's shortcomings affect your potential of being a better person. It's not worth it.

I would be very hurt as this kind of comment can cut people pretty deeply and wound. But then again I would go out there and prove that I am not a waste of space by doing a course and improving my skills at work trying to work my way up the ladder and show these people that I can be successful and can beat them and their nasty comments off.
Sticks and stones.

I'd ask them how it is i've wasted their time....

Perhaps they were expecting something and didn't get it.

Best thing is to understand that that comment isn't even about YOU. It's just an opinion. And usually opinions are about the person giving it. I can only assume that it was said out of annoyance or disappointment.... But that is what i would ask. U may not even care to know or have the guts to find out why it is that person has said that. Have the courage to find out

I will just say: "Too bad you are feeling that way, but nothing has been lost, good luck!" and move on. Life has a lot to offer, don't sweet the small stuff. There is somebody out there who will care and respect you for who you are. Love, forgive and forget.

Hi! i wouldn't react, I'd just brush it off like a piece of lint and know the person who said that is nothing but a waste of my time but I would just keep it to myself, because we all know that were better than that, don't let words get the best of you!

Okay chow!

I would tell them that noone and nothing is a waste of time,
it is an experience u go through.
I would laugh it off and not let them have an ounce of power over me or make me feel down at all.
think positive.

In whatever context they told me i.e. relationship, friendship, relative whatever, I would show them precisely what a 'waste of time' is....I would walk away.......let them cool off, they could be just angry and venting......give them a chance.....but.......if you've tried reasoning and forgiving, then let them apologise to you. If they dont miss you or realise what they've said is hurtful then at least you know that THEY are the waste of time....

it depends on who it is. If this is someone you like, then get rid of him or her. this relationship will be a waste of your time. No matter what or who you are, no one has the right to tell you like that,
