An enlisted Marine can apply for the Warrant Officer program after serving at least eight years of enlisted service, and reaching the grade of E-5 (Sergeant) for the administrative warrant officer program and E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant) for the weapons warrant officer program. If the Marine NCO is selected, he or she is given additional training in leadership and management. The duties Marine warrant officers typically fulfill are those that would normally call for the authority of a commissioned officer, however, require an additional level of technical proficiency and practical experience that a commissioned officer would not have had the opportunity to achieve.

whats wrong with going to college?
Anyone can join the marines. If you want to do more such as fly helicopters in the marines you are gonna need all the education you can get. I say do both. Get some college and join the marines.

Possibly, but you would have to go enlisted first, attain the rank of at least E-7 then apply for the CWO/LDO program. At least that is how the Navy does it, and I figure the Marines are pretty close considering they are a department of the Navy. They only take a limited amount of applications a year. You're better off going to college, my friend.

Yes it is possible depending on your asvab score your eyesight and things of the sort did u even find out if you are basically qualified. I suggest you sit down and talk with a recruiter. In order to do those things w/o going to college you will have to go in as enlisted and then from there take advantages of some of the officer programs but it will eventually require going to college but ucan do enlisted first and have the experience not to mention 100% tutition assistance!

no. as far as i'm aware, only commisioned officers are allowed to fly, period. whether it be a helo or a plane.but that's definately one step closer to where you want to be.
as for not going to college, the only branch i've heard of that doesn't always require you to go to college to become an officer is the army. and that's only for special exceptions. all other branches require degrees before you even qualify to send in an application to be an officer candidate.
