When you first start to have feeling of interest in the oppposite sex you usually are attracted to people you see often and are comfortable with (thus your attraction to your cousin). But it is wrong to be acting upon those feelings. You should both acknowledge that you have a lot of fun together and continue to be good friends but you should both look for other romantic interests. Perhaps double date so that you and your cousin can still have fun together (just not as a couple). It is very important that you don't allow this to continue any longer. If you are having problems breaking it off perhaps if you talk to your church pastor or school guidance counselor they could help you. Good luck and God Bless.

I might keep that to yourselfs. I don't know if its against the law
to have sex but if you plan on getting married it is but not because its gross its because of the dangers of having babys that may not come out right. The gross part is just brow beaten into us from society as a way to help stop this because of the potential genetic results. I've slept with a cousin for a few years until she moved on and got married. So don't feel like your the only one, but if you do end up living together for the rest of your lives you just won't be able to get legally married. This is all basically a way the government keeps the gene pool fresh.

The big taboo about relatives dating is that if they have kids, there's a greater possibility of birth defects if there are any recessive genes that run in the family. If you both carry the gene for Down's Syndrome, for example, there's a very good chance that you could have a baby with Down's Syndrome.
Now - if you're both just 15, and you're not going to have sex, but just go to movies, etc, then enjoy it, and just be sure you're still friends when you eventually break up.

Best to break it off, it's a bad idea to date cousins; and in most states, illegal to marry them. There's a reason for the law, it's considered incest, and can lead to many problems with children out of the relationship. I'm referring to health problems. You're only letting yourself in for heartache if you stay in the relationship. Good luck, whatever you decide. But remember, you've kept this secret, because you know it's wrong!

Hay go ahead tell everyone. You are not the 1st person to get in love with the 1st cousin. But there is a way and time to inform them. If you think its gona bring to desaster postpone it. But never give up loving him if you realy do care for him. Hay this is a world where gay marriages are leagalised and love between two 1st cousins just not going to bring any day after tomorrows. Take it cool. Smile after all you are in love. All the best

First of all this is NOT incest. Unless you have some known genetic problems in your family the chances of having kids with problems is really no greater than in the general population.
Family and friends will be the main source of problems. The fewer the people that know, the better.
Good luck.

It's not necessarily gross...folks are folks and if you two did not that you were cousins then that wouldn't be gross. However, in most places a close, intimate relationship between family members is incest and prohibited by both social mores and laws...especially with regard to sexual relations.

There are some reasons your parents might not want this relationship. I think it´s not gonna be good. And what if you´re going to marry him? Your child can be born a defficient one.
Be careful... and follow the tips of some friends...
