I counted 13 in the living room area alone. What will we use if we lost our electrical supplies ? No solar responses please.

Let's see...everything plugged in at my house:
Fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, can opener, washer, dryer, 1 phone, stereo, air purifier, answering machine, t.v., VCR, DVD player, 1 lamp, computer, monitor, modem....I think that's it. So that is a total of 18 things. Not bad...I think. And I would be screwed if we lost electric...1, because I have an all electric apartment, 2 I have a digital phone and not a land line with no cell phone! So I would be up the creek!

At this moment, in my studio: TV, cell phone, computer, modem, desk lamp, refrigerator, and microwave (8). Difficult to imagine life without electricity, isn't it?
