I would take him to the vet so they can properly examine him. If he's a larger breed like a lab or golden they're prone to hip dysplasia which can develop at a young age. Other possibilities are if he was running around before this happend he may have sprained his leg. There could also be something in his paw. Your vet will check for all of these. As for giving him the baby aspirin, it is safe but consult your veterinarian first. Hope this helps.

Check his paws and make sure there is no damage or injury to his paws/pads. I would wait a few days and see if it gets better. My Lab has limped for a day or two and he is your dogs age. After the third day he was fine. IF the problem does not get better within a couple days call your vet.

Well, what is it that might make YOU limp? He's obviously injured his leg or paw.
Check his paw for any foreign object. If you are in the icy/snowy part of the country, check for ice too. Dogs sweat through their paw pads, so it's vital for overall health that their paws are healthy.
Watch his reaction when touching the leg or paw: Which does he seem to flinch at? Check him over, keep yourself protected as a sudden pain may cause him to nip at you.
And resign yourself to a possible trip to the Vet.

a severe limp or a slight limp? He could have a minor sprain. Give it a few days, and try some baby (81mg) aspirin. If he doesn't improve, take him into the vet.

We used a choke collar to train our dog and also the command "heal" while walking , you need to lead your dog , not the other way around. He should be by your side at all times. Buy a shorter leash also; make sure it's only about a foot or 2 long. that way there is no pulling, once your dog has learned how to heal/walk by your side buy a longer leash. You are the alfa dog!prove it to our dog by taking control of the walks.

Did he step on something? Does he have something visibly stuck in his paw? How long has he been limping? Call your vet to be safe.
