I am listed as an "Organ donor" but need to change this to keep my organs. Originally, I signed this 'cas my Dad received an Organ, and I was grateful.
Before he got his organ, the hospital trained us about physical and psychological changes. We were well informed that the "Anti- rejection Drugs" would cause major changes in him. However, even with all that training, it didn't help for the realization of the procedure.
It was like the movie, "Pet Cemetery". He was a smart, patient, and gentile man before the organ transplant. The drugs made him into a hostel, rude, and impatient man. Additionally, the organ doctors were BRILLIANT in taking care of his transplanted organ, but they were BUFFOONS in maintaining the deterioration of the rest of his body due to the anti-rejection drugs.
After being a witness, I do not support organ transplants. Honestly, just because they "Can" doesn't mean it's a good thing. Guess that's what the author of "Frankenstein" was trying to share with us, but we (my family) never listened.

If you consider blood as an organ, then YES I am an organ donor. I never had any chance till now to donate any organ but maybe if I get one, I will surely donate an organ. Why is it good? Giving a kidney to a person who requires one is like giving LIFE to a person. Are you being GOD for someone? And yes, after death, all of us should make sure that our organs that can be donated are donated to someone. What else is their use but to go to dust.

Yes i'm a organ donor... my reason is because i maybe can help one or more people keep living!!! how amazing is that? You figure a part or parts of you keep on living..just in someone else!!! You never know who you could help once you are gone it might just be a family member... Plus what good is it going to do me to have these once i'm gone?

YES!!! My nephew recieved a heart transplant nine years ago. If the little girls family had not made that selfless act, He would have died when he was three. Happy to say he is a healthy, happy, active 12 year old boy!!! Sorry to hear that the persons father was mean after transplant, it had nothing to do with the organ, maybe it was the way he chose to live after the surgery.

I have recently become an organ donor. I feel that it is important to contribute back to society. I mean, if I were to be killed in a car accident, I would be thrilled for my organs to be used for someone who may be dying. Its not like they would be any good to me anymore. :)

I am. I took the organ because someone was giving it away. After I had stored it for a year or so I said "why am I keeping an organ, I can't even play it, and I really don't like organ music". So I gave it to a guy in Michigan. He seemed to appreciate it.

I am and the reason is.. Why not leave good working organs to people that may need them? It's obvious that I won't be needing them.

I am. I figure that when I die, I won't need my organs. Maybe they can give someone a second chance at life.

Yes I dont need them when I'm dead so why not help someone else and improve their quality of life!
I think it should be made an opt out system rather than opt in actually.

No, I'm afraid not. I've done way too much damage to them over the years to be good to anyone else.
