Happiest I've made my parents recently was to write some humorous, but loving poems for them, about them, different styles of poetry (haiku, sonnet (easier than you think - email me if you want to know the easy road to sonnet writing, etc.).. thought of a title.. then printed the poems on pretty paper, "booklet" style and signed it with a message.
I made one for Mother's Day, took me about 3 hours total.
Made another for Father's Day... a little less time than the first one.
I did this last year. I'm 45 now, so don't write this off as a "kid's project." I love my folks very much and give them gifts every year, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much they got a kick out of my little "homemade" gift.

No-one is happy all the time,and if if spend your life only on their happiness.You might miss out in your own happiness.Just do your best in life,and tell them how much they mean to you.They should want you to just be the loving,thoughtful,and kind person you are.

I tell my parents that i love them so much. if there is anything i feel bad about i tell them i am sorry i caused any pain or anger. I am truthful and say what i feel not what they did. Be honest...i like giving cards, or flowers or just go up and give them a big hug...sometimes they dont expect it.

Be happy youself, itl make your parents happy to see that you are. maybe try family times too, not like you have to be the perfect family or anything but just little things like watch tv together or something.xxx

My children make me happy just by existing. If they are happy and sucessful too, that would make me even happier, but just looking at them makes me happy.

Simple. Tell them how grateful you are to them; tell them you love them dearly and then to prove your sincerity in what you tell them, make and be seen to be making some sacrifices for their sake.
