"There is no free lunch." Which is to say that you will be exchanging something for everything that someone claims to be sending "free."

Read any and all offers of "free" things carefully. If you don't do this, you may find that you've agreed to something that you may not like.

Some offers of "free" things come with the requirement that you sign up for "gold or silver" offers. This means that you have agreed to buy something, probably at outrageously inflated prices, for the sake of getting something "free."

In a country where you got to pay more than a $1 for a bottle of water .......NOTHING IS FREE. It's a scam of some sort. Probably to get your info so they can sell it to a 3rd party...I wouldn't waste my time on this.

Try and find a site called Freecycle. You should be able to sign up for it, and then people in your area will be able to give and receive stuff to/from you.
