she's not a rabbit.she wont eat them because you disturbed her litter, but she may move them to a different safer place so you can't find them again, try catching her and bringing her and kittens into the house,or you will end up with a feral cat problem on your property,if you cant catch her call the local ASPCA and get them to do it,the kittens need thier mother, but i wouldn't advise returning the babies to her unless you want a bunch of wild kitties on your property,if you had a larger humane catch trap you could put the kittens(if they are just little still and cant crawl out) inside the trap, set it put the trap where or near where you found the kittens and when mama goes in,you will have both her and kittens

I think you did the right thing by these baby kitten's. See how the mother is with the kitten's. Are you certain that the cat you found is the mother? If the cat seems to want nothing to do with the kittens, then take the kitten's. Good thinking by putting gloves on while touching the kitten's. You don't know if they have been around other animals that have been bited or infected with some type of virus. I would take them to a vet to make sure that they are ok. Good Luck sweetie! -smiles 2 u all day-!!!!!

No cats are not like that, i would wear gloves because you dont know what kind of diseases they have. Make shur the mom can still feed the babys in the box. If you can capture all of them you could take them to a shelter so they can all get medical care and homes when they get old enough!

She won't hurt them. Once you found them, she thinks she needs to protect & hide them in a new location so she's carrying them off one at a time. When I was a kid, I would find an occasional litter just like this in my Grandpa's barn; we never considered wearing gloves in those days.

You can also call animal control to come and rescue them. Make sure they will take them to a shelter.
