Have a dealer (art or antique) look at them first. You don't want to sell them on e-bay if you aren't sure of what you have. They may be worth $40 or $4,000.00. Unless you're an expert, don't let them go until you've consulted someone who is an expert. It's as simple as calling art galleries in the Yellow Pages first to ask if they could look at them. If you're anywhere near Chicago there's plenty of opportunity. If you're closer to Springfield, I know Patty Doyle is an antique dealer and can help out. Also Prairie Art Alliance. Good luck

hello. sorry abt ur friend.
first, plz make sure that ur question above is displayed on yahoo in the right CATEGORY.
i usually answer personal quests, but urs is about arts n paintings.
anyway, try to take pictures from a camera of the signatures of artists, enlarge them and try to identify.
secondly, take quotations of prices from at least 2-3 registered art galleries....some of the painters may have become popular over theb years and may fetch more than what they were paid for.
another thing you can try is click photos of the paintings and display them on net , maybe someone can identify the artists and help you place a final price on them.
pls dont sell before you are sure of roughly how much you can get for them

I'm always sorry to hear about the loss of a friend.
Start at a local art gallery, they should be able to guide you in the right direction.

Look in the yellow pages in your phone book for art dealers and see if they're interested. You can't sell anything without knowing what it is.Criagslist is a good site to sell as it's free to use for buyer and seller...

I'd photograph them , then contact "Soothbys" on the net. They are an Art Dealership using auctions for sales.

Go on eBay, or you can also call an art gallery, and they may want to have them.
