I believe they supply her with feminine products, at least that's what my friend said.

Your kidding right? If she doesn't want to get her period, tell her to talk to a doc about birth control, there is a new pill that you take for like 3 motnhs and then get your period, that would minimize the number of times she'd get her period whil deployed, Depo does stop periods for a lot of women but for some it just makes them spot constantly, not a good suggestion. Other than that, how would she handle it on a field op? Life goes on, it's not a complicated issue.

I don't think there's a mystery here.
There are many bodily functions and needs that exist while in the desert. The military handles them all.
In this case, her "kit" will contain the products she needs, including the ability to dispose. Depending on what she's doing that day, she may need to dispose of privacy, delay "changes," and so forth.
But, in the end, it's not different from how any other women deals with it.

Tell her to try the Depo-pravera shot. It's a form of birth control that comes in a shot and you get it only once every three months. One of the side effects is not having your period. I was on it when I went threw basic training and was glad I didn't have to worry about my period in the field. If I knew I was headed to Iraq I would get back on it. Good Luck!

The military does supply her with female products. Also she can have family and friends send them out to her. Plus she is a female, its not like she is one of the guys that are out in the middle of no where for weeks on end. She'll have more then enough access to her products. How long has she been in? She should know this already.

I have heard that they give out birthcontrol to the women to maintain their periods, to time them. Then they just have to deal with it. Tell her that the captain will go over all of this with her and what to do etc. Good luck to her and come home soon! :)

She has to hold it and not let it happen. If the military wanted her to have a period they would have given her it
