i always find myself very much attracted to men who are very much older than me, i think that they're (very often) more experienced in life and i feel awkwardly comfortable at their presence and conversing with them.... what do you think?

Nothing wrong with it. We're all looking for something that makes our special someone and thats what you're looking for. I guess they are more experienced, and you're probably ready to settle down...guys much younger probably cant offer that to you

My second husband was 12 years older than me.
We used to laugh that when I was in Kindergarten he would have been 17. He joked that he could have picked me up from school for a date:)
But seriously, the greatest thing about our age difference was that I WAS the younger woman. I did not have to worry about him being attracted to some other young honey.
When he was sober he treated me like a queen. I felt very special.
I felt that he was experienced and careful about the way he treated me.
I loved hearing about his Hippie days. He was born in 1946.
He had great stories about when LSD was legal. He was a mortician at the time. He said that it was a very weird job, but on LSD it was really creepy.
Anyway, I understand the attraction and with viagra the sky is the limit:)
Peace out.

I had been with my ex b/f who is 12 yrs older than me, and it was a 3 and 1/2 yrs of hell. He was very controlling, possesive, and both physical and verbally abusived to me. It is true that he was much more experience in every way, but some how he was always jealous, eventhough I had never done him wrong, as he did to me. I think he was insecure since I am a lot younger than him. I don't really care about age older or younger, but I just wanted someone who will love and respect me as much as I will love and respect that person. Not someone who just wanted to control my life. My now husband of 6 yrs, who is 4 yrs younger than me who is not that experience in some way but I am much more happier than ever, because he treated me the way a woman want to be treated.

I agree. My b/f is 7 years older than me. I know that you're probably talking about men much older than that but I think older men are very much attractive.

Hi

So am I . But I found that because a person is older does not always mean they are wiser . Yes ,stimulating conversation is wonderful with men who are of any age as long it is a subject that you both feel comfortable with .

Take care

i can relate. my husband is 12 yrs older than myself. its just natural.....my friends are older too. im 37 and my best friend is 54....my other girlfriends average age are around late 40's to mid 50's. i prefer the company of older (or wiser, is a better term) people....but i have always liked older men as well. i can relate better to them. must just be who you are. nothing wrong with it unless you are not an adult. in which case i would worry. if your looking for a "daddy" then that IS a problem.

On a very limited basis. Only a very few older men seem appealing.

Eh. Gross. I draw the line at 5 years older. And i refuse to date anyone younger than me. Or shorter, that just makes it awkward.

You are so right, and I agree. I feel comfortable with a man who knows what he wants. Not a little kid who we have to watch after.
