Hi!

Quick question...in my technologys class we are using microphones, the kinds that go over your head....

so, the little miicrophone part just brushed over my mouth...Iknow this is a paranoid-type question, but i am just wondering...can i get sick from this if the person the used the microphone before me was sick? it came out of a bag, so i dont even know if a person used it before me, and if they were sick.

It's possible, but probably pretty unlikely.

Most materials like metal do not provide a safe haven for germs. You come in contact with airborne germs everyday and don't fret, so wash your face and move on. If you have a concern, then wear a mask so you don't have future contact.

Secure a couple of handkerchiefs or a couple of paper towels around the mike with some large rubber bands, or string.
