The obvious answer is that God gave them skin over their eyes to keep all the dirt out.

This question would be much better directed to an evolutionist. It makes little sense for evolution to give an animal a set of working eyes and then cover them with permanent skin.

But God on the other hand, goes around doing things that seem strange all the time. It would be just like him to do that. See Isaiah 28:21

One of the most perplexing subjects to evolutionary scientists is the evolution of the eye and the visual system.

The first organisms to have eyes must have somehow detected that energy in the form of light was bouncing around reflecting off of everything, then realized that there is information in said energy and set out to construct optical organs to translate that information by reconstructing a 3D picture from a 2D projection of the world.

In fact, only a tiny slice of the entire electromagnetic spectrum contains visual light, which means that eyes would have had to be specifically put together in a very complex fashion or we may have been visualizing distorted radio waves instead of the world around us.

Scientists do attempt to explain this and like to give themselves a pat on the back for a satisfactory explanation.

However I’d like to point out that when humans need a device that functions as an eyeball, we don’t just throw all the necessary pieces into a box and ad a catalysts or some evolutionary process. We have to first design it, then we put it together.

It is possible that at one time the optic nerve and eyes of the mole did function. Over time, the nerve and eye ceased to function through a mutation or a change in its genetics etc. I am NOT talking about evolution, just a mutation or change similar to the change that a butterfly or moth goes through. This "evolution" though is taking place in the same species of animal, not cross species which is the basis of the Theory of Evolution. Cross species evolution does not take place today and never has.

Consider this.. if we decended from apes or ape-like creatures, why is our DNA and genetic closer to pigs than apes? Could we have evolved from pigs?? There are too many holes in the evolution theory that will never be "patched".

They have under ground so long, they no longer need their eyes ? Works for me. Doesn't prove Evolution to me. If it were Evolution, wouldn't they just Evolve away the eyes ? Works for me.

It's difficult to explain from either theory. Why would it evolve that way? Why would God create it that way?

Besides, most Christians don't dispute *all* evolution. They just dispute macro evolution.
