B vitamins make you feel better and increase your energy.
Thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), (pyridoxine) B6, folic acid (B9), (cyanocobalamin) B12.

All of them are necessary for various bodily functions since they are very, very important for cell formation (including nerve cells/neurons, which influence your emotions among other things).

If you're lacking energy and are unhappy for no particular reason, I suggest upping your B vitamins, especially Biotin, B12 and B6.
Also, try eating more fats. Fish oil, vitamin E and mono/poly unsaturates will help with all of this.
That's part of the reason coconut may help; it's actually quite fatty. DOn't know about the tablets though.

You can take arginine which is an amino acid for energy and to help you sleep you can take ornithine. I use both. They are both amino acids that are produced by the body but in smaller amounts. These decrease with age so to help your body out you can supplement these to help you.

I stick to prenatal vitamins, they are best for you when you are planning to be pregnant, are pregnant, and nursing. However, I take them anyway. I feel good from them so I never switched when I was done nursing my son. However, we are currently trying to conceive.
