Used to be a man's word and hand shake was all you needed to secure an agreement...NOW a days a background check to hire a school crossing guard is required. To me I'd rather be an honest bum than a famous good for nothing.

If you are it's because there are so few honest people left.
Having just come through a bad time myself,I've found out that the really honest people are those who you least expect.

The answer to your question I think is that today success is measured purely by money and that to be poor is the worst crime you can commit.

Well now,,,remember Jimmy Carter???? he became very famous for telling the truth. He wasn't cut out for the lying socity that politicians live in. Too bad but the truth made him one our worst Prez's in recent history. He is even more famuos now because he travels around the world helping the poor and preaching the truth. Remember, the truth will set you free........
