Whilst Peter in Rome and Paul's travels were important, the act of Emperor Constantine in making Christianity the state religion of the Empire was the catalyst for growth
However the Empire was in two parts east and west. The east was based in Constantinople(Byzantium),now Istanbul.
Thus we have the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox
There was also the Coptic in North Africa-but another story

Even till today Christianity is spread by pressure. It cant be seen.
They will help the poor people and slowly ask them to convert.
They will do lots of good things just to make them convert.
They spend alot of money to make it a world success.
They have lots of people ard the world to promote the religion..
But no use, they are being pressured, no use beliving christianity. being forced mentally.

By the sword - whole tribes were extreminated for refusing to become Christians - dont believe me ? where are the long standing non-christian communities in Europe? the jews were all exterminated
as with other things Christians try and push off their guilt at having spread their religion by the sword onto others namely Muslims who they falsely accuse of doing what they
Spread by the sword?
Christianity- NO long standing non-Christian communities
Islam - long standing non-Muslim communities in numerous countries from Egypt to the Lebanon to India to Indonesia
Muslim Spain- Christians, Jews Muslims lived together
Christian Spain - only Christians allowed to live
Muslim Jerusalem- Christians, Jews Muslims lived together
Christian Jerusalem- Crusaders murdered everyone who wasnt Christian

Glad to see all the anti-Christian rhetoric pouring out again. How shocking and rare.
