I have several tattoos on my upper arms and one on my inner forearm (not quite as far down as my wrist). The inner arm was definitely more uncomfortable than the others - I could certainly feel that the skin is thinner there and I winced quite a bit! - but it was basically bearable, and the tattoo was worth it.
Hope this helps!

Wrists hurt. Most people don't get big enough things on them though to cry about it.
Any pain of a tattoo is tolerable, and if you can't take it, you can stop for a little bit, and wait until you man up ;).
Anywhere where there's less skin, or its just a tender, less exposed area, you're going to run into pain.
You need to be less focused on how bad its going to hurt, and more focused on the excitement of getting tattooed.
That'll get you through it.
Good luck with your tattoos!

I have one around my wrist: a purple flower, one blue flower, one orange flower and one red flower. It didn't hurt half as bad as the one on my ankle did. They're tiger lily's, with green leaves and black "tribal wrap-around designs. It is located above my wrist bone and it doesn't wrap all the way around my wrist. If you were to measure it in length and width, it's about 4 inches long and 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide. It goes half way around my wrist. I wish I had pictures to show you, and I did but I deleted them off my computer because I printed the pictures out. Damn! But anyways, it's a very very feminine tattoo as well, and I also get tons of compliments! It looks awesome when I wear color clothes because it matches, and it really stands out and appears to be a bracelet. When I want it covered, I put on a normal bracelet and it covers it just fine, but I never cover it anymore. I love it!

Too me the wrist was like nothing. All I felt was the pressure and vibration from the machine. My upper arm tat hurt more, to me. My experience is that the tighter the spot, (wrist, shin, ankle) the less it hurts.

compared to the upper arm yes your wrists will hurt a lot more because there is little muscle in your wrist and a lot of veins which means its going to bleed a lot more personally i wouldn't get a tattoo on my wrist because as you get older and are looking for better jobs they will tend to turn you down because of the visible tattoo i would not recommend wrist tattoos´s
so yes it will hurt a lot more no muscle no fat just skin veins and bone ...

It doesn't hurt much Take three motrin/advil 1 hour prior to take the edge off. I have two full sleeves and the wrist was cake compared to the underside of the arm near the pit. That was brutal.

I have both my forearms done, and one covered in a sleeve tat.... the inner arm is painful. Wherever the skin is thin, inner bicep, wrist, the area of the inside elbow... has been generally more painful to me... but... pain is enlightening... dont u think? I mean relatively speaking ofcourse... But pain is GOOOOOOD
