Is this discrimination?
My boyfriend attends a religous college that has rules for dating. They recently told him that he is no longer allowed to visit me at my home even if other people are there. We are an interracial couple. I know of other couples (of the same race) who are allowed to visit eachothers homes. Am I wrong to be upset by this? What can I do?

Please stop telling me it's my boyfriends fault and to leave him. I love him very much and he is upset by this also.

We are both in our 20s. He will get in trouble if he doesn't obey.

On the surface it certainly does sound like discrimination. Has he asked for any explanation? Are there other things going on that they are aware of that may be causing them to request his discontinuation of spending time at home with you? Just curious. It's strange that they are able to make demands of this nature on his personal life.

That is disappointing in this day and age and yes that is discriminating. You should be very upset. Is this college some kind religious cult college he attends? This is very sad. It sure is not a normal practice.

This is discrimination! Find a new boyfriend! I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with anyone who would allow religion to determine who I love!

did the college give a specific reason? if it's religious then maybe it's discrimination but then again he does attend a religious college so I'm not sure how that works. why not meet elsewhere if he can't visit your home?

Yes, that is total discrimination. You have everyright to be angry. Anyway you should still have him come over no matter what the school says. Because if you love him as much as you say you do you wouldn't care what the stupid *** school says. Anyway i hope everything works out with you guys.

This sounds ridiculous. It really sounds crazy. I don't even see how they have authority to do this! I would investigate further and bring this issue to the attention to the head of the administration and your parents. See what can be done about the situation. .

Yes. That's awful and ridiculous. I can't believe any kind of higher learning institution would condone this.

Get rid of this guy. You deserve better than someone who supports an academic institution like this.
