I doubt that the National Geographic has any data to back up the number of deaths from mercury in the diet, but sharks (and some other fish) have extremely high levels of mercury, and people die every year from mercury poisoning. Fatal shark attacks worldwide usually average about 8 per year, so it would only take 9 deaths from mercury poisoning, which seems reasonable.

the biggest killer in america is heart dissease...
the biggest killer in america is (poisonous) food.
it is this way for a reason... being... it is the biggest killer, good luck slaying that beast, you would do yourself justice to seek people (like myself) who are willing to do something about it, or ppl who are in a position of responsibillity to take action (city counsil, congress...un)

funny thing is, the food industry is the biggest most money making and most important industry we have, so, i could make billions selling you healthy food, i could sell you a cheese burger that tastes better than any other that will give you life, not death, funny this sounds like its coming from the same person who said you are lukewarm and its gonna cost, meaning, ignorance is sin and one of the most deadly at that.
