Its important to remember that children will have higher fevers than adults.
I had my pediatricain fax me the sheet that tells you when to administer the meds.
Anyway this is what I have been told to do
every 4 hours - Tylenol
every 8 hours - Motrin
At the 8 hour mark you give tylenol and motrin together
so it goes like this
4 hours - tylenol
8 hours - tylenol and motrin
12 hours - tylenol
16 hours - tylenol and motrin
etc
Hope this helps

Tylenol is every 4 hours and Ibuprofen is every 4 to 6 hours so it would be at 12:15

Follow the directions on the bottle. You give the Tylenol every 4 to 6 hours and Give the Motrin every 6 to 8 hours.. but give them at least 2 hours in between each other. So if Tylenol was 8:15, then give Motrin at 10:15 and then at 2:15 tylenol again the Motrin at 5:15... or vice versa. Good luck. The doctor can confirm this also. Hope she feels better soon.

If you gave her ibuprofen at 8:15, you can give her Tylenol at 10:15 if you need to. I wouldn't though, unless she has a fever and it hasn't gone down by then. You don't want to use more than you really need to. If you do give her Tylenol in 2 hours and then want to give her ibuprofen again, be sure to wait 4 hours because you can still only give that every 6-8 hours.

with 103 temp you should be calling a Dr. Come on MOM don't be on the Internet asking us get your child to a Dr. Why email me to inform me you have such a great Doctor team if you have such a great Doc then call and ask them I would much rather have a Dr. inform me of what to do with medication then yahoo answers this is your child. I have 5 kids and the heath of any of my children I would never ask these people over a Dr. that is why we have health insurance. Now maybe if I want to know what to do with tangled hair or a non medical issue. Hope your child gets better.
