Found a bottle of whiskey, unopened, Seagrams VO Black Label with the 1963 date on the back. Any value to this besides a smoothe drink?

Not as much as you would hope. Whiskey no longer "ages" once it has been bottled. Wine is different because of the change in tanic acid. With the Seagram's, you just have an old bottle of whiskey. Save it and open it at a very special occasion such as a wedding, graduation, or birth. People will be astounded that you saved a special bottle of whiskey just for that.

I think you should contact Seagram's. They might be interested in the bottle.

I dunno. I hear wine taste better with age, but that may or may not apply to beer and whisky.
