Many major airlines guarantee that you will find the cheapest flights on their own websites. I always check sites like expedia.com or orbitz.com to see which airline has the cheapest flight, and then I go to that airline's website and pick the same flights. Probably 99% of the time I get the exact same price (or occasionally cheaper) with the airline. Plus most of those sites charge a "booking fee" of $5 or more. So I always go to the individual airline's website.

There are no nonstops from Manchester. Nonstop and direct aren't the same thing though. Direct means it's the same flight number but the plane makes a stop somewhere in between, whereas nonstop means the plane doesn't make any intermediary stops.

I would try www.kayak.com. Usually it does pretty good job in finding bargain flights.

A couple of months ago I flew from Boston to Paris via Reykjavik on Icelandair, and I know they fly to UK too. I didn't like my experience, but the ticket was very cheap, so you might consider that.

CheapFlights.co.uk lists loads of the best fares from discounters and "bucket-shops." Here's a direct link to their current MAN-BOS fares: http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/Boston/Manchester/ Some of these as cheap as £174 return, taxes and fees included. Compare that with Kelkoo.uk's airfare shopper, which compares even more sources to show you their best price: http://travel.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/c_172201_flights.html

I can't exactly recommend a website, but we have frequently found that it pays to fly to Amsterdam (Schipol) first, and fly on from there. So looking into that may help. Good luck.
