I read that she got state probation for 5 years. I think 6 months or a year would have been fine. Unemployment fraud carries a 1 year probation sentence, so I think her sentence is a little high. History of passing bad checks has nothing to do with it, and that probably happened when she was younger, anyways.

Lois, did you fail to see this part, or does it mean she has to be good on her own for five years??
"As a condition of her sentencing, she must remain on good behavior for five years."

she got probation for 2 years and she had a previous record for writing bad checks. p.s. yeah well before cherrybomb talks b/s she should read this
