What is all of this 'Christian Nation' nonsense?

Not only does the Constitution not mention Christianity, or any other religion, but the First Amendment PREVENTS anyone from even attempting to establish an official national religion, obviously in response to you simpletons making your first attempt at doing just that.

Why do you idiots persist in lying about the contents of the Constitution, when it has been specifically amended to prevent you from doing just that?

Do you just hate America? Democracy (a pagan Athenian political system)? The Republic?

Do you live in some bizarre fantasy world where only Christians should enter the US or hold office? The Constitution specifically prevents anyone from administering any type of religious test as a requirement to enter the US or hold office, but you continue to lie about that also.

Are you simpletons, or are you just pathological liars?

Christians, and virtually all religions (and politicians, for that matter), make it their primary practice to take credit for all good things and blame others for everything bad.

I wish you had posted a 'for instance' of where Christians have lied about the Constitution. Then I could, perhaps, pose a better answer. Oh, well.

I am a Christian and I know that government cannot establish a national religion, thank God. I don't hate America, I am proud to be an American. I don't know anything about there being a movement on to require the administering of a religious test as a requirement to enter the US or hold office.

I think we, as Christians, do consider and persist in calling this a Christian nation because 86% of people label themselves 'Christian' in this country. Also, I think a lot of us feel, upon perusal of historical writings and whatnot, that our founding fathers used quite a lot of Biblical teachings, writings and so on, to form what we now call our Constitution. I have a book around here somewhere titled "One Nation Under God" that I could give you some specific excerpts of letters and so on where the authors of the letters state their reasons as being just that (influenced by a Biblical teaching) but, unfortunately, in this mish mash I call my office I can't find the thing!!!

I would agree with you, that doesn't make us a Christian nation, but there you have it. Do I want Congress to make us a Christian nation? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yeah I really hate that. It's a phrase that takes away from the greatest part of the US, which is the fact that we're a big mixture of different kinds of people. And even if there are more Christians here, that doesn't mean we should be called a "Christian nation". There are more white people here, should we call it a "white people nation"? No, of course not.

I don't know whats wrong with them. Makes me want to wring their necks though for being so ignorant and arrogant.

The country was built on freedom for all NOT freedom for only Christianity.

I don't think they care about that though. They'd like to think they rule, especially since they're starting to lose ground.

It's amazing how quickly people forget about our "Freedom of Religion" and "Separation of Church and State." If there is ever a candidate who runs who happens to be either Muslim, Atheist, Jew, Hindu, etc. he would probably earn about 1% of the vote, if that much. People would rather be spoon-fed information these days than take the time to learn about who a person really is and what they stand for.

Between 75% and 83% of Americans identify themselves as Christian, depending on which poll. That, and that alone, is the basis for the term "Christian nation."

The rest of your post is just a bunch of rubbish.
