Its a great way to tone and sculpt your body, but in order to get the best shape possible you should do another cardio exercise with it, the reason is pilates does not burn that many calories but is really great for tightening your abs and intire body. I do it every do along with strengh training one day and riding my bike the next and its helped me tone up alot. Hope that helps

Pilates works really well for me. It lengthens and tones my muscles. It does take a couple of weeks to see results. If you are already on an exercise regimen, you could do the Pilates on the days that you don't do cardio. That combo was absolutely deadly for me! It worked like a charm.

of course pilates is an excellent workout it flateens your stomach and strengthens your muscles which makes you run faster. anyoine who said it was a waste of time must not be commiting themsleves 100 percent. its totally easy to lose weight off of pilates.

Yes! It's actually the best kind of exercising! It works all of your muscles. I'm a dancer and I know it helps!

it's good for toning up and for building muscle. also, i hear it's great if you have a bad back.
if you're looking to lose weight, then you should be eating right and including cardio in your fitness program.
