Edsel Ford, heir to the Ford automobile empire died of undulent fever, caused by a bacteria called Brucella. Edsel was (for his era) something of a health nut, and he believed strongly in untested alternative medicines and holistic diets. One of his favorite "health foods" was unpasteurized milk.

Unpasteurized milk is known to carry all kinds of germs like E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella, Listeria and Brucella. This is why we PASTEURIZE milk -- makes it SAFE to drink.

Well, Edsel didn't quite know this, and he contracted brucellosis from the milk he was drinking, and it eventually killed him.
