If at all affordable, please take your sweet little puppy to a vet for infestation treatment. If that's not possible, look for a lye soap. Hardware stores sometimes carry the soap and it is totally safe for dogs and people alike. When bathing your pup be sure to start the bath by wetting and then lathering his neck thoroughly before bathing his body. That prevents the bugs from running up to his head and face area during the bath. I hope for your sake that those bugs aren't fleas. Fleas are a major problem because, besides making life miserable for the dog, they will get into your carpeting and furniture and reproduce....endlessly! Good luck!

First newborn pups should not be bathed in anything! Where did they get the bugs from??? Has to be the mom or the area your keeping them.
First any bugs that are blood sucking can kill new born pups. They don't have much blood in their bodies to begin with and any that is being sucked out by bugs only makes them very week and they will become anemic very quickly and die.
First you have to clean the area where the mom and pups are, Only clean bedding should be in with the pups and mom. This has to be changed daily.
Clean you mother dog. Call your vet to see what kind of shampoo you can use on her. You can';t use anything really strong because it will be toxic to the pups.
This never should have happened in the first place, But it has. Seems like you did not prepair for he pups at all. So shame on you!

You can try to use tape and reverse it so the sticky side is out and gently dap the pup to get the bugs off of it. They should stick to the tape. Throw the tape in a seperate garbage area not near the pups.

Call your vet and tell them whats going on they will have a good regiment for you to follow to get rid of the bugs.

in the experience that your canines claws are a project, get them decrease. in the experience that your canines isn't used to it, take him to the vet. He could be sedated earlier, as a great variety of canines warfare while the clippers get pulled out. A pitbull blend will constantly be somewhat hyper and slightly aggressive. that's why the canines is banned in a great variety of places. as long as you're walking him for a million hour or up an afternoon, he should not be a project. If he's urinating interior the abode, that is greater probably that he's marking his territory than that's that he's basically having an accident. there are a lot of classes on the cyber web approximately what to do in that variety of outrage, so seem one up. to give up him working away, do no longer enable him off the lead (leash) ever. some human beings seem to think of that is cruel. it is not. that's a protection precaution. in case you canines can't walk by utilising your area in any respect circumstances while off the lead, you could no longer enable it off the lead. Play on your decrease back backyard. Jared.

Please take your puppy to the VET.
If the puppy has ticks then you can remove them with a tweezer and put them in a bottle which has kerosine. The ticks will will die or otherwise they can live without food for many motnhs.
Take a mug of water and add a teaspoon of dettol. take a soft towel and soak it in this solution, and slowly wipe the puppy, especially in between the paws.
hope you have a good time with your new pet.

What kind of bugs? Fleas? Where does he sleep? Outside? Inside? Dogs are dogs and they will have fleas but if he is in a flea infested area then you need to move him. Is he with his mother? You can put some cedar down for them to lie on, it is supposed to repel fleas. I wouldn't wash him or expose him to any kind of pesticide so early. Garlic is good for repelling fleas.
Fill a dog bed with cedar and garlic and see if that doesn't help.

My kitty had that when i got her. you can give them the normal frontline because it is too strong. Vets can give them a special bath. They smell really strong for quite a while. I also suggest you "bomb" your house in a bug spray. You also get special one's from the vet. Its a little pricey. But it does work!

What kind of bugs? Are they ticks? Fleas? If you can't figure it out, see the vet. Some bug bites can be fatal to puppies.

DONT BATHE YOUR PUP ....you will kill it. very small pups cant manage a bath.get a fine tooth comb and also use your fingers and go about taking out the bugs, the comb will help but be gentle otherwise you will injure the pups skin.if you want to be cautious go to the vet first and the doc will give you the best advice.A pup is very delicate so please take care.
