Struggling, believe it or not, is good.
Short of cults and extremists, I've never heard of any religion that wants your unyielding, unquestioning belief. Growing up in Texas I saw only Christianity, and had no exposure to other faiths. I questioned pastors and ministers constantly, and I thought they should be able to answer. When their answers were simply quotes from the bible I was, of course, completely unsatisfied.
It took years for me to finally find peace from my doubts, and I see in your question the same frustration. I hope this helps you to find your bliss:
Step 1: Stop asking religious "authorities" to solve your doubts.
With very rare exceptions they won't have any answers.
Step 2: Read ALL the religious texts you can get your hands on.
These books are the source of information for all the experts
you've doubtless been pestering (just as I did). By "all" I don't
just mean the bible. Find an English translation of the Qur'an
and the Torah. Afterwards, you'll discover that these three
"major" religions are more similar than you thought.
Afterwards, if you're still willing, try to find some of the lesser
known texts such as the actual teachings of Jesus and
Mohammed.
Step 3: By far the most difficult. Decide.
There is, unfortunately, no way for me or anyone else to
simply tell you how or what to believe. All I can tell you is the
steps I went through.
Knowledge helps; you must find time to read.
Contemplation helps; when you're mind is free (say on the bus/train) devote some thought to what you've gleaned.
Finally, courage helps; you must be able to accept that some of the things you "know" about Christ and religion may come into conflict with what you learn directly from these texts.
Wow, this got longer than I thought it would. I know you have limited time, or are having trouble making time. However, if you've read this response from someone you don't even know then you do have the time, and you do have the drive.
I wish you luck, courage, and a shorter spiritual trek than mine.

There are certain truth's only obtained when we make time for it. For instance, if we dont study geometry we would never know the pythagorean theory. Likewise if we dont spend time to understand where we stand in our beliefs. If you expect by some miracle that you will just start believing, more than likely that wont happen. Take a look at St. Thomas, he lived and walked with Jesus, and still didn't believe until he could see the wounds himself. It takes faith and making the time. Time could be as little as a T.V. show long, so if you really want to find Christ in your life, take time out to do so.
God bless you always and guide your heart.

If you really want to explore your faith in Jesus Christ - even if that exploration leads you to nonbelief of His existence, then you will really have to MAKE the time to explore it.
Consider attending a Bible study at a local non-denominational church, have conversations about this with friends who are Christians who can answer intelligently your questions about God's existence -without at the same time trying to actively save/convert you. Forced faith, isn't faith at all really.
Also, do some research with atheist's - intelligent one's who while they share their reason's for non-belief won't at the same time bash you for even wondering if His existence is real.
The only way to come to your own conclusion is to take the time to learn more. I'm a Christian, so of course, I'm hoping you'll find your Faith - but only YOU can know for sure if you believe and it will take some exploration on your own to find out what you believe.

Faith is given to us by God, we cannot just have faith, God gives us the faith to believe. In Romans 10:17 the Bible says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. " take a little Bible with you and read it. if you're out and about listen to sermons like Andrew Wommack - www.awmi.net. Kenneth Copland-kcm.org I have a job which takes up alot of my time (which i don't usually mind) and i found it hard to read the Bible at times & also i was smoking but now i have stopped. So what i do now is take my Bible with me and read it. Go to a quiet place.
What you're struggling with, is the devil he is causing you to doubt. The best way to declare the exstistance of God is Jesus Himself.
Here's my e-mail address if you need futher help: stvnhamer@yahoo.co.uk
Also go to other Christians who are older in the faith and much wiser, and stronger. If you are not going to church then it would be best that you go regularly. and god loves to see you there and misses you when you don't. I know that you will get through this with victory God will pull you through. God bless.
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)

You dont have to struggle much. I know from my personal experience that it is hard but God does exist and is real. Did you know that He is omnipresent, always with you all the time? He is drawn to you in ways that blows minds away.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen." Hebrews 11:1
Prayer is the communication tool we use when we speak to God and He answers all prayer.
You have to trust and believe that He is, that's all. He will reveal Himself to you in a personal way that will blow your mind.
Begin by a simple prayer...

well the good thing about faith and God is it happens all the time. Your curiousity and questioning it is a good start. Think about your average day with ups and downs and see why both have to do with God. come to understand that everything happens for a reason, and a good reason at that. if you want it bad enough you will get your own reasons for believing, nobody can really tell you how to do it.

Its all about the desire to do so...and I would suggest, from the last part of your sentence, you do not have the desire to find faith. Thats not a crime. Perhaps you will meet someone, at some point in your life, who can provide insights that will help you. But if you are really interested in finding faith, don't expect it to wash over you. Anything worth believing in takes time and effort.

Go to the One who has the answer. Find a quiet spot and sit down. Start telling God this. "Lord, I doubt that you exist and I don't know how to find faith in Jesus. Reveal yourself to me and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Let me experience your love for me, Lord. I'm so confused and I want to know what to do. Thank you for what you're going to do." You could start with something like this. Also God tells us in the bible, that fellowship with him and knowing He is in our hearts comes from devoting time daily to reading His word. That's how he speaks to us. Desire to follow Him will make this possible. It's like eating. We don't always have the time, but becaue we're hungry, we will make the time to eat something. The bible is our spiritual food. If we don't eat of it daily, we will starve. I'm 43 and have had many doubtful moments, but God has come through for me and he kept me alive during my teenage times when I lived so recklessly, I deserved death.

Dear Friend
Let us consider Gods word the bible for the answer:
Acts 17:26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'
Matthew 7:Ask, Seek, Knock
7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him
Dear Friend, these scriptures council us to seek God in prayer, and ask him to come into our lives, forgive us and help us to turn our lives around. All i can say is that accepting Jesus as my saviour has turned my life around, I am happy and have the great honor of having a close relationship with the Creator of all things. All i can say is Seek and you will find.
God Bless you and good luck.

Pray and ask the Lord to give you an encounter with Him that will turn you upside down. Maybe you struggle and doubt his existence because you haven't really experienced Him. He is real, he is alive....
