And the answers given,

Tell me.

Who says it's alright to take and use out of context verses to justify your needs? Did you ever tried reading the verses before that or the verses after that? To those who took verse 9:5, I dare you you to show everyone here verse 9:6 and verse 9:7.

Even in the Bible, I could pull that trick.

Revelation 21:8 "...And all liars have their place in the lake of fire.".

Second, tell me.

I heard Christianity preach so much about "Love thy neighbour" and "do not judge others". But wait, the Christians I see these days do not judge others and they do not love their neighbours. How come? I though you guys preach this?

All I'm saying is this; Never judge a religion by a follower, judge a religion by it's teachings. (Proper teachings, not out of context.)

Christians these days judge others*

2007-02-22 01:01:52 · update #1

Jack: Isn't that what these anti-Islamists are doing these days? To teach that ALL muslims are violent, which is a lie?

2007-02-22 01:11:10 · update #2

Scott: I'm a Muslim, am I violent? Come to my country, Malaysia, it's a country of Islam. Come, come here, then you tell me if Muslims are violent or not.

I do not Judge anyone. i tell people what i know based off the Bible. i do not take the verses out of context. and i would not even bother telling people the truth if i did not love them.but what you say is true for alot of us. you are right, alot of scriptures are missunderstood because they are taken out of context.

Your question is worded very poorly. I do not understand what exactly it is that you are saying. So, let me respond to some key points here. You say that you do not see Christians loving their neighbors. I disagree. Come to my church and see all the adopted kids and foster kids that are present. See the people in the community being fed. Look at those being visited that would otherwise be alone. All this done by private donations and commitment. You also say that Christians judge others (actually you said the opposite, but I figured that this is what you meant). If someone admits to telling a lie and you call them on that, it is not judgment. It's just a fact. A self admitted fact. Now, while we cannot judge your soul, we can point out certain things based on your actions. Most of the time, you will get defensive because you don't like what you see or hear. If you are honest, you know that it is true and your conscience is doing battle with you and causing you to want to defend yourself.

additional: You say that not all Muslims are violent. True. But look at the countries where Islam is the religion of "choice". What is happening there. Christians are being persecuted, tortured, and/or killed. So, let me ask you. How do YOU define peace? Maybe that's the problem. We have a different definition of peace. Mine does not include torture and murder.

Add: Look at what I said. "you say that not all Muslims are violent." I responed TRUE. It is right above my current statement. Not all Muslims are violent. However, the religion of Islam is not as peaceful as it claims to be. Look at the facts. And... While I'm posative that Malaysia is a beautiful place, I think I'll vacation in the states. Thank you.
Again... let me make this more personal. The Muslims that I do know are peaceful people. However, I disagree that the religion of Islam itself is fundamentally peaceful.

The Islamic Q’uran is NON-Contextual and relies on the Bukhari to paint its backdrops. (Top 2 most ‘holy’ Islamic books). These teachings are prevalent throughout the book.

Judge the following for yourself.

Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”
Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him!’”
Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”
Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"

THOUGH THE ISLAMIC ALLAH WANTS MUSLIMS TO KILL ALL NON-MUSLIMS, MANY MUSLIMS ARE NOT DOING SO AT THIS MOMENT (WITH DISAPPOINTMENT FROM THE FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMISTS) BECAUSE THEY ARE NOW ENJOYING THEMSELVES, SOME AFRAID OF REPRISALS. DON'T THINK FOR A MOMENT THAT MUSLIMS ARE PEACEFUL. IF THEY SEEM TO BE, THEY ARE ACTUALLY NON-PRACTICING MUSLIMS.

Perhaps you think this is bullshit. But wait. Take a quick glance below of islam’s founder’s behaviour recorded in one of the most authentic Islamic texts ever recorded below and you will not think so again. Remember this, Muhammad personified the teachings of the Q’uran.

MUHAMMED HAS NO MERCY; Sahih Bukhary; and Hanbel.
Bukhary, Volume 1, Book 4, Number 234:

Bukhari, V1B4N234: "A group of people from the Oreyneh and Oqayelh tribes came to the prophet to embrace Islam, the prophet advised them to drink the urine of the camels. Later on when they killed the prophet's shepherd, the prophet seized them, gouged out their eyes, cut their hands and legs, and left them thirsty in the desert to die."

IF MUHAMMAD WAS A MURDERER, A RAPIST, A PEODPHILE, A LIAR, WHAT LESS CAN YOU EXPECT OF HIS FOLLOWERS? MUSLIMS BECOME TERRORISTS BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY ARE MEANT TO BECOME. BECAUSE THAT IS TRUE ISLAM. WHAT IS TRUE, IS WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN, NOT WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU AND WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.

You say never judge a religion by a follower. That guy's question asked specifically about hating Muslims not hating Islam. That's what I got out of it. Sorry if I offended anyone.

That is a very good point, but it can be hard to find what the religion really teaches, and what are outright lies about the religion. There is so much stereotyping that the true teaches can truly be hard to discover. And to really understand each religion, you would have to read each religious book (Bible, Quran, others?) entirely to get the full meaning of them.

Anti-Muslim people are getting worse by the day. They allow the media to tell them what to think about Islam, without taking 10 minutes to read into what Islam truly stands for. They want be spoon-fed all the information their thick skulls want and block out the things they don't want to hear, then rather expend an ounce of energy to try to figure out something for themselves.

You always judge a religion by it's followers. They are an example of the end result of their religious doctrine. To judge a religion on anything else is folly.

You have a point, but to teach a lie in my mind, is the most destructive form of brain washing, and an insult to humanity.

Well that is really easy to say, but it doesn't change the fact that something about Islam is giving people the faith to strap bombs on themselves and blow themselves up.

And again all you are doing is saying that we are wrong for noticing.
