Because it is mechanical or digital you dont physically move the camera to do it.

Well, from one perspective it is. The optics (think lens or lenses) are reconfiguring ("moving") or changing their orientation in order to capture the image (of an object) differently. The human eye does the same thing with its lens when it focuses at different distances.

The "movement" of the human eye's lens is even less perceptible than with camera lens(es).
