If you want to make really good tasting coffee, get rid of the regular coffee maker and buy yourself a French Press and Coffee Grinder.
Buy Organic Beans and grind beans just before brewing.

Try the Kenya AA that is sold at Caribou Coffee.

Start with filtered cold water and use acid free paper filters (or a gold filter basket if you have it).

If you really want to spend some money, order some Kona from Peet's Coffee on line. They roast and ship weekly. At $50 a pound, I only get it around the holidays.

Lastly, coffee is like wine or cigars, you should sample as many different kinds as you can and find the one that suits you best.

Hi Jake, Good to see a coffee lover here, I love it too. Try my fav coffee recipe. You can make it with any of ur fav kind of coffee. I generally use instant coffee. Make a stron black coffee (1/2 cup water + 1tsp coffee powder-> boil it ). In a saucepan, boil milk with a lil cardamom into it. let it boil for some two mins. If you like chocolates, a tinch of drinking chocolate gives very good taste here (i love chocolates, but i try to ad least amount of choc here to get more coffee taste). To half a cup of this, add half a cup of previously made strong black coffee, and add sugar as per your likings,... I love it, the coffee, choc and especially cardamon gives it very nice taste and great feel ! Enjoy the coffe !

I love Maxwell House coffee. Nothing fancy, but it's so good. I usually use 8 scoops of coffee to make a full pot.
