you shouldnt put weight on at all.
with a period it makes you feel bloated and you may feel heavier but you arnt putting weight on, unless you have a mood swing with your fella and eat lots of choc whilst feeling depressed

If you go to the classes they have a spot or star week, where you may not lose any weight.
This is due to water retention, known to occur during menstruation, and weight watchers acknowledge this & don't penalise if you dont lose any weight.
You may not manage to lose any on star week but you should maintain. Next week you should show a bigger than normal loss.
However, water retention doesn't affect everyone, and during dieting & sticking to your diet, it is known that some weeks you just don't lose weight.
Thats one of the reasons why dieting is so hard to stick at.
Good luck

Women can gain up to 7 pounds in water retention during their period.
I did the weight watchers diet, and quite often gained during my period but, if you stick with your points, it will come off the following week. My biggest problem was always the disappointment of the gain making me want to eat crisps and chocolate!!
If you do gain, don't let it get you down - you know its your period!!! Stick with it and good luck!!

It can be as much as 7lbs, i usually retain a lot of water just before i'm due then the first proper day of being on the night following it just all seems to vanish and all the water disappears it is normal so I wouldn't worry and just weigh yourself next week

I feel/get heavier during my period, but it all goes away afterwards. It is annoying. My mum knew someone who went up a whole dress size during her period. Glad I'm not THAT bad. I just gain a 3-4 pounds, which is annoying in itself. Just relax and allow for this. Next week you'll be fine.

normally many girls have a problem with bloating during their periods which is mainly due to water retention.Try to not consume gassy foods like beans etc during that time.Drink water,no coke or caffeine. And you can also have some green tea which a mild herbal laxative.Take a capsule of evening primrose oil which will alleviate the weight gain
