Dear friends,
I have read your views regarding Islam. Indeed you have expressed your views in a civilized way. First of all I would like to request my friends who are quoting Quran translations, should also quote their tafsir (explanations), please search over the internet and you will find many good explanations, which I hope will clear your doubts. Since the verses were revealed in the different contexts so, we will also have to look in the whole perspective. Here I like to explain it in this way: i.e. Here in India in a newspaper there was a heading regarding a bomb blast in Samjhauta Express (A train) which runs between India and Pakistan, the text is something like this, "A person has thrown the bomb". The first impression we will get is that he had thrown the bomb at innocent public, but after the above stated line it was written that "he has thrown the unblasted bomb which was not blasted till that time". So my friends please look the whole context, in which Quran was revealed. It was a learned Christian who himself has recognized Prophet Muhammat, that he is the Prophet regarding whom Bible says. Quran itself says that all the earlier prophets were messengers of Allah, but their message was for their people and for that time. Still Jews do not accept Jesus as prophet, so it does not mean that unaccepatance will render it false. It is the truth and will remain truth, be it regarding Prophet Muhammad, Prophet Jesus or Prophet Ibrahim.
Moreover, a thing cannot be judged by its user (I am talking about suicide bombing), i.e. pistol is used both by cops and robbers. So we will not blame pistol.
I think all of us have seen that crime rate is very low in Saudi Arabia, this is only because implementation of Quranic laws. So lwas of Quran is for modern time, what we will need is its correct explanation.
If any of you people want any explaination regarding Islam, please feel free to post. No matter how bitter you write. I will be happy to clear your concepts, atleast I will try.
Your friend

During the crusades many non-violent christians were oppressed by the masses as well. The point is that a large muslim sect is extremely violent terrorists fighting 'in the name of god' which i personally think is absolutely mental. Look at it this way, if everyone hates you in your home town then you move as a result then people in the new area begin to hate you too.... Don't you think it's time to rethink whatever it is that you're doing? I think it's funny how people get offended if you talk to them about religion but they wear crosses robes, and other things to boast of their beliefs. A good (moreso humorous) analogy would be a scantily clad attractive woman barely covering her breasts saying to someone 'i'm up here!' when men glare at their mostly exposed breasts with shiny glitter on them. Get real.
I also think it's rather funny that some muslims will say 'americans go oversea and do the same things muslims are doing.' Well, if muslims weren't so violent then we wouldn't be over there at all. In a general sense, "PEOPLE" are evil, so don't expect perfection or you'll be disappointed every time. When dealing with things of this nature you have to consider percentages, not individual instances. For example, a big percentage of muslims are violent or would certainly resort to violence in the name of their god. Most religions would not consider it.

Not all muslims are peaceful. As other people have said suicide bombers are the most well known example.
The media reports all the violence because it sells well. There could be 1% of muslims blow themselves up and it will be reported on. The other 99% will be considered to have done nothing newsworthy and will remain unknown to anyone outside their community. Thus the media gives a skewed view on muslims.
People hear more about violent muslims than peaceful muslims, so they assume there are more of them. Hence the assumption it is a violent religion.

smahmad has very tactically and in a very good way handled the every aspect of other people queries and views. apart from straight away inferences we get from his answers. his answer also says that it might be the bush who is the christian, has done what all so called muslims terrorists were unable to do collectively and that even through fabricating false reason of WMDs. still some people think bush is right, but bill clinton may not , he is also the christian and may be a good person. if someone will say that it was correct in that situation then his answer ask then why they do not seek "those situations", when palestenians protests. we should not have to be selfish for our ulterior motives. hats off to smahmad

I do not hate Muslims. However, Islam does not preach peace in Iran or Afghanistan where christians are being persecuted, tortured, and/or killed by the followers of Islam. So, don't preach the peace of Islam when it is not that at all.

Regardless of the peace it may speak to you , it is promoting suicide and cold blooded murder to others.
You used the phrase "only one godalmighty" . Why did you feel the need to say that and not just God? Many Cristian's tend to say " One True God " all the time too. How does that make you feel? Because Christians also feel there religion is absolutely correct they have no reason to learn about the religions of other. Because it is unknown to them , they fear it. If people hate Muslims it is because they fear it.
When you are not afraid of being critical of the world around you , then you can truly be honest with yourself and be happy. Agnostic

Sir, I have read the Koran and Islamic Haddith. I beg to differ, but Islam is anything but a religion of peace. And neither is Christianity, for that matter.
For example, this is what the Koran has to say about me:
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah...And the Jews say Ezra is the son of God; and the Christians say Christ is the son of God; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; Allah's curse be on them; how they are turned away!" (Koran 9:29-30)
And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah (8:39)
When the sacred months have passed away, THEN SLAY THE IDOLATERS WHEREVER YOU FIND THEM, AND TAKE THEM CAPTIVES AND BESIEGE THEM AND LIE IN WAIT FOR THEM IN EVERY AMBUSH, then if they repent and keep up prayer [become believers] and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them (9:5)

Let's move outside of Iraq and address the fact that "extremists" are setting off bombs killing indiscriminately in the name of their religion or beliefs.
Religion is the source of all evil. Respect the fact that a "higher authority" created the world we live in. We get "religion" from our parents as well as the area we are born into. It is the fanatic that says their word or belief is the only one. In English BREAD is bread, Spanish it is Pan, no matter how it is pronounced, it still tastes good, fills the belly, and is an essential part of a sandwich. Death is death, a loss of life and grief for the family no matter what your belief is.
Iraqis must stop the violence first......then challenge America to it's promise to leave Iraq. The world will unite behind them.

Look the Muslims have a huge problem with the radical side right now. There are hundreds of thousands at Hamas rallies, not a few. There are large crowds in the streets of Iran after Friday prayers EVERY week saying they want to kill westerners. I could go on and on. You can deny that fact all day, but these guys are going to start WWIII if the moderate side doesn't do something to stop them. I am not the one that says it is about Islam, they are. I just don't see any reason to not believe them.
I have only seen two Muslims that regularly speak out against it, and they both live behind bullet proof glass. You need to look at what is really happening and stop blaming those who notice. What have you done today to stop terrorism? All I am seeing is you trying to cover it up.

People around the world hate muslims (not I) b/c while they preach peace, but their actions betray them and reveal the truth of their religion. If muslims were consistent in their message, then perhaps people wouldn't think of muslims as hypocrites. Actions speak louder than words my friend.
