osteopath = bone cracker
naturopath = multidisciplined natural health consultant
homeopath = a specialised field that naturopaths usually study

osteopath = chiropractor => the two fields were named at about the same time, they both have similar fundamental practices and philosophies, but they were named in different parts of the world. Think about the words "chair" and "seat". They both mean the same thing, but they are two different words.

Chiro = hand
practor = practitioner

osteo = bone
path => pathic => referring to a condition or to suffer

They seem to be at odds with each other, but mainly chiropractors seem to talk about osteopaths as though the osteopaths are not as good as chiropractors.
naturopath = study for about 6 yrs learning a heap of different fields of natural medicine, such as pathology, massage, nutrition, homeopathy, herbology, aromatherapy, iridology, kinesiology as well as basic law and accounting, infection control, occupational health and safety and business and a choice of electives such as reflexology, accupressure massage, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, etc.

Homeopathy = take small amounts of substance to affect the body in positive ways. eg. cyanide in large doses will kill you, but cyanide in small doses can have a beneficial effect, if you have certain conditions (if you get it wrong ... ? ... uh oh...), same with arsenic, and snake venom, and spider venom and stuff like that, but also a variety of herbs and minerals and other plant and animal extracts. Theres thousands of substances and the homeopath can make combinations of any of them.

The main part seems to be taking small amounts.

Apparently homeopaths can change your personality, so you go in and they assess who you are and you tell them who you want to be and they can give you stuff that will alter your personality, or help you to deal with emotional problems, or also some physical diseases. I've heard of people who were shy and after treatment by homeopaths, the person was not shy but outgoing, I've heard of people using homeopathic medicine for stage fright, and nervousness, and phobias and quitting smoking and allergies and depression, and hormonal problems.

Osteopaths are DO's. For the most part they are much like regular doctors with added skills in chiropractic. There was a time that DO's were less skilled than MD's on average but that time is disappearing.
Naturopaths are doctors trained in herbal remedies. There are full four year schools that take their training seriously. The problem that I see is much of the treatment fails in the light of scientific investigation or is never allowed to be investigated.
Homeopath is a sub group of naturopathy that treats disease with simular substances, Homeo (same in greek).
If a bacteria is allowed to grow unchecked, it will produce byproducts and waste that will accumulate and prevent further growth or even kill the bacteria. It is this reasoning that is used to treat a "yeast" infection with dead "yeast", and so forth. Besides the unsavoriness of the treatment, it fails often and brings on other problems if the waste and byproducts are the cause of the symptoms in the first place.

Osteopaths at one time used massage type treatment, but now they are well trained and accepted in the medical community in all specialties. The other two are quacks along with chiropractors.
