There are testimonies evoked by faith that accounts to this phenomena. Pure science... well... it shows too that there is life after death... a perfect example is a seed. The seed has to get rotten before it grows into a tree. Right? Or a tree caught by fire is death to the tree, but after several months, out of the decay, new life grows from the death of the tree. We people would starve to death if not for the sacrifices of the chickens we ate. Life were taken away to give life to another. I believe that this is miracle in a real sense. This is what resurrection means in reality.

All the bible thumpers out there will say, 'It says so in the bible.' Well, i can throw hundreds of books at you that say otherwise. The point is that no one knows. People can guess, or theorize but it has never been proven, and it really cannot. Personally i look at it this way. If there is a god, gods, or some sort of divine being then that's cool i'm a good person that lives an honest life and i'll go to a good place wherever that is. A famous theorist once said, 'the meaning of life is not a question to be answered, but a reality to be experienced.'. What i get from it is this... Don't waste your time wondering about things that cannot be answered, go outside and enjoy life while you're here.

You would think that Lazarus would have said something about the afterlife since he was dead for 4 days.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6........For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.  Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
The Bible talks about a Resurrection, the first and the second Resurrection.

The first is those that will rule as kings and priests with Jesus in heaven and the second is for The majority of dead mankind and that's the Resurrection on paradise earth.
John 5:28-29...... Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice  and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

There is life after death and the only proof is after you die. You will discover the answer. If there was no life after death there would be no reason for us to be in Earth and if there is no reason we wouldnt be here in the first place. This Earth is a temporary place where men is tested on their Faith and thats it.

None, and plenty of evidence to the contrary.

What exactly do you think a soul is? What properties does it have? What part of 'you' resides in the soul?

If it's postulated that consciousness, or awareness, or sense of self resides in the soul, it's difficult to see how this can be reconciled with the complete oblivion which accompanies general anaesthesia. How could a straightforward chemical, injected into the bloodstream, anaesthetise a soul so that it effectively ceases to exist during this time? If consciousness, in the form of a soul, were some kind of supernatural faculty, it would seem implausible that it could be completely disabled by a chemical.

How about some of the other things which we regard as essential parts of what makes a person what they are? How about love, compassion, reason, empathy, memory, conscious thought, character, 'spirituality' and so on? Well, there is really no plausible doubt that all these things are properties of the physical brain - We can alter all of these properties very simply with alcohol or other drugs, and observe how they change in people who have suffered significant brain damage. Previously placid people become uncontrollably violent, intelligent people become imbeciles, and so on. Stimulate the brain artificially, and the subject reports corresponding mental activity, e.g. 'religious experiences'. We can see from brain research that all these things - thought, emotion, sensation, character traits and so on - are correlated with activity in the brain, and some things can be identified with specific areas of the brain.

So, if all these faculties and characteristics of what we regard as the 'person' reside in the physical brain, as seems to be undeniably the case, and they all cease when the person dies, then what is left to be attributed to a 'soul'? As far as I can ascertain: Nothing. If there is no part of us that can continue after death, then there is no 'afterlife'... and if there is no afterlife, then most of religion is null and void.

Heathens did not like the idea of death, and chose to believe in an "immortal soul" that lived forever. There is no excuse for that idea in Scripture, but half converted men brought the idea with them and it became a part of Churchianity.

Jesus raised people from the dead. I believe in Christ, the bible and the fact that Jesus Christ is the life and the resurrection. That is all the proof I need.

The soul is living. It does not compose of physical elements, so it does not suffer decomposition. Death is only decomposition of physical elements.
