feel around on it. If its broke he won't put any pressure on it. If it touches the floor when he limps he may have a fracture, or a sprain, rarely a bone spur can break off. Just gently move it around and see if it feels like its moving normal. Then ice it if he is babying really bad you might want to consider a wrap. It would be nice if you could bring him to the vet now but that would be really expensive. If he isn't vomiting and appears to be acting normal then he isn't it that much pain. Check for swelling tomorrow morning and if there is some then apply some ice again and arrange for him to see the vet tomorrow. Or just call the vet sometimes they can give you some advice before they tell you to bring him in. If the vet feels he needs to see him then call a friend or family member to give him a ride there. The vet can get all other info from you when you call. Good Luck

in most cities there is a 24 hr. emergency veterinary service. call information (1-411) to find out where yours is, or look in the phone book. you should bring him in, otherwise it could be very serious. a broken bone needs to be set right away. there could also be a pinched nerve, which is why he isn't reacting when you touch it.

There are emergency clinics available...It is a cruelty charge to not get an animal IMMEDIATE health care...If it was your foot you would go to the hospital...take care of your animal
