All 4 of mine have grown in and are not bothering me a bit...is it just a matter of time or did i get off easy?

Sometimes, people are just lucky and have enough room for everything to work out fine. You may be one of those people. We WERE originally designed to accomodate wisdom teeth, after all...

it is just a matter of time. they will swell periodically and drive you insane. they have no use. they are too soft and their location is off for any assistance in mastication. maybe in the future someone will find their purpose, besides, making the dental world richer.

Actually, I've had all 4 of mine for 10 years...no swelling, no pain, no crowding, etc...I just consider myself lucky.

If you don't have problems with them you can keep them. Usually they are only pulled if they are impacted, causing pain or if your getting orthodontal work.
