I am thinking of naming my dog either
Storm
or
Halo Storm

I am also open to any other suggestions but let me know what you think of the two that I chose.

I read somewhere it helps to get a dog's attention to have a two syllable name. Just one syllable is too short and they won't learn their name as quickly.

You also didn't mention what kind of dog it was. I always like to look at the animal awhile and its personality to give naming clues.

For example: My dog's big, dark, with a big head. His name? Guinness (two syllables, go figure)

Stormy's pretty cool. Halo Storm has too many syllables. Can you imagine walking your dog, and saying, "Halo Storm, no!".
The fewer syllables the better. Some say single syllable names are best for dogs. My dog's called "Roxy", but over the years I've had a "Duke", a "Sadie", and a "Chopper". Have fun!

I tend to like Halo Storm. I typically give nick names to my dogs and Halo is an interesting name...which I assume that you'll call her that instead of the full name?

Good luck.

i think that if it is a bigger dog you could name it storm, and if it is a smaller dog you could name it halo. it depends on the breed though. i just got a samoyed puppy and named her Monty. her full name is Montyglyon, but i don't actually call her that.

Those are fine...but you failed to mention if it's a male or female? I would go with what comes naturally from your heart.
