I know dogs can take aspirin, particularly Ascriptin with the Maalox coating, but I wasn't sure about heartburn meds.

What would possess you to consider giving your dog ANY kind of OTC medication for a human w/o expressly being told to do so by a vet??????

Never ever ever give your dog a human OTC meds without consulting with your vet first! Some meds are ok for them to take, but self medicating your dog could leave you with no dog.

I would not give my dog any kind of meds like that. The best thing for you to do if you think your dog might be suffering from a belly problem. There insides are different than ours and you might do more damage then good.
yes they can take Aspirin only if your vet. Just the 81 mg. If it is a small dog just half of that.

Do not give the dog heartburn meds without consulting the vet, they can have side effects even on people and many people are allergic.

No, No, No. The contence of your dogs stomach is very different than a humans. If your dog is experiencing stomach upset then take it to the vets to see whats going on.
It may be as simple as the food your feeding it.

Never give your dog Human medicines.

How do you know that its got heartburn ? did it tell you ? if it did contact the media as this dog could make you a fortune as speaking dogs are very rare

i wouldn give anything to my dog without asking my vet first you could give it something that might kill or make it very very sick or shut down some of his organs and your dog will suffer very badly so i would check with vet first

Did your dog tell you he/ she has heart burn?? ask your veterinarian ... dogs cannot take all medications humans do !!
