I like this girl but shes 20 and I am 18. She is very pretty and we get along well. We are both single. I brough up a conversation the other day casualy about age differences and she said it doesnt matter and her ex was a year and half younger than her. I want to ask her out but keep thinking, what if she laughs at me?

She clearly is not to old for you so ask her out. I think you are afraid of being rejected by her. Do not feel that way you will never know if you do not try. So when you see her next time ask her out on a date to the movies dinner or just simply start with talking get to know each other. And remember this the greatest relationships start by friendship and over coming your fear to ask her is the first place to start. Good luck.

I wouldn't ask if I was you, sounds as if you have a bit of a crush, adoration is affecting your thinking.
She will pick up on your desperate vibe, and whether she likes you or not, will be scared off you, leading to nothing but embarrasment for both of you. Go out with someone else, give it 6 months or so (a lifetime for an 18 y.o. !) and then, assuming you are still not a love sick puppy, approach casually.

What age difference? 2 years so what? If you think she will laugh at if you ask her out so what. Go for it dude, don't be intimidated. Chances are she probally wants you to ask her out. She already told you her ex was a year and half younger then her, she was giving you a hint dude.

go for it dude. 2 years is not that big of a difference. and if she does laugh at you, so what? it'll make it easier to ask out the next girl. What will you regret more... trying and getting rejected, or not trying at all and never knowing what could have been?

So what if she laughs? Chances are high you aren't going to date her if you don't ask, so what's the big deal if she says no? You haven't really lost anything...right?

There is no "league". You are two adults, and 2 years is never really an age issue when it comes to adults...that's an inconsequential difference.

Take a chance...you may be pleasantly surprised. ☺

Tim,
What have you got to lose?? If she says yes then you are going out. If she says no the then you are going to stay away from her for awhile and try again later. In any case, if you don't ask her you certainly will NEVER go out. Get in front of her and ask her. She may be waiting for you to ask and if you don't di it somebody else is going to be going out regularly with her. I certainly wouldn't let a pretty you ng lady go to waste!! I am sure that things will go well if you go see her. GO TODAY.

This is a no brainer. Ask her out dude. All she can say is no. If she say's no, don't let that bother you. Women are everywhere and it's time to start dating as many as you can. You gotta start sometime and today is a good day to get with the program.

Let me give you a tip.

Women like confident men. You have your answer; she doesn't mind the age difference. Put the issue aside. It is a non issue. You're both adults.

Be confident, and just ask her out.

You'll never know until you ask. If she laughs at you (which she most likely will not) then shes probably not worth going out with. Good luck and dont' be afraid.
